Brad-Pack Commercial Equipment Skid

The Brad-Pack is a finished piece of equipment with all components mounted, wired and plumbed to stub outs on a stainless steel frame. The Brad-Pack is designed to meet or exceed most commercial codes for public spas and swimming pools. All equipment is NSF-listed and/or UL-approved. The standard Brad-Pack measures 38" wide x 86" long x 60" high. All equipment is mounted with maintenance in mind.

ELECTRICAL

The BP-01 is offered in two systems:

1. Single Phase system requires 100 amps, 340 volt plus a neutral and a ground.
2. Three Phase system requires 75 amps, 208 volt plus a neutral and a ground.

The BP-02 is also offered in two systems:

1. Single Phase system requires 140 amps, 240 volt plus a neutral and a ground.
2. Three Phase system requires 100 amps, 208 volt plus a neutral and a ground.

All components on our single phase units are GFCI protected up to 60 amp components. All motors are protected with thermal overload starters, (single or three phase). Three phase systems are not GFCI protected. The jet pumps as well as the purification equipment is all interlocked with the filter pump, therefore, nothing will operate unless the filter pump is running. All equipment is grounded and bonded. A bonding wire (#8 copper) must be attached between the spa shell and the equipment pack. A ground lug is welded at the skimmer cut-out for this purpose. The air transmitter which operates the 10-minute timer for the jet pumps must be mounted near the spa. (Check local codes for placement. In most states, this must be mounted in which the user must leave the spa to activate the jet pump). A vinyl tube runs between the air transmitter and the Brad-Pack.

PLUMBING

The plumber needs to run piping between the Brad-Pack and the spa shell. Each unit has stub outs with markings which correspond at the other end. The plumber also needs to run a draing line to an appropriate waste. Water fill may be made through a hose bib in the spa room (allow for an air gap when filling) or by connecting into the jet return line to the spa through an appropriate back flow preventer.
